Steve Takagi Wins Trout Shoot-out

Steve Takagi narrowly beats Robert Bryan by a few ounces and takes home a cool $240. Steve caught only 1 trout, weighing 2 pounds 10 3/4 ounces, but it was was enough to win the First Place Prize and the Big Fish Award over Robert, who caught 1 trout weighing 1 pound 13 3/4 ounce. It was a slow day for everyone else, but the food was good! 15 anglers participated at Shadow Cliff Reservoir along with some friends and family members enjoying the sun and picnic afterwards.
Salmon and Lingcod Season Open

April first was opening day for Salmon and Rockfish season and some anglers wasted no time in testing out the waters. Judd Rogers weighed in a Salmon that went 12 pounds 3 1/4 ounces and was edged out by Stan Satake who had a nice one that went 12 pounds 15 3/4 ounces. Judd also weighed in a lingcod that took first place this month. It weighed 10 pounds 9 1/4 ounces and beat Robert Bryan who had a smaller one that weighed 6 pounds 13 3/4 ounces. The pot was small because of the shortened month but it is expected to be a much bigger pot this month when more anglers hit the water.
